I was thirteen years old, and very new to the scientific world, when I won Scifest@CIT. Since then, I’ve had more than a few adventures and lessons learned. That said, there are a few things I wish I had been told that day in April 2015 - here they are. I’d like to tell you my story so far, and the things I learned from each chapter.

Biography
Sarah Kate Sweeney

Sarah Kate was the 2015 Scifest@CIT winner with the project “Maths Behind Music” and is now a second year Physics & Astrophysics student in UCC. As well as having taken part in numerous scientific endeavours (topics include digital musical synthesis, cryptography, quantum computing, artificial intelligence and gravitational physics), she also enjoys music, playing piano and singing.
